Jennifer, Devyn and Brandii explain our process, from phone call or online contact submission.
When a minor, or major, issue arises with your plumbing system, it’s good to know what to expect when you contact L.D. Smith Plumbing & Drains.
Over the past 15 years in business, we’ve built a straightforward, no-surprises process and gimmick-free process so you always know what to expect. Could it be that from the first phone call “Dirty.Stinking.Honest” rings true? Give us a call or submit an online contact form and these are the steps of service.
1. An actual person answers the phone or calls back.
The process starts as soon as you send us a message or dial 317-927-7186 requesting service. Rather than leaving you to guess “when or if” you’ll hear back or press “1 or 2”, our CSRs pick up the phone. No automated runaround, no waiting days for a reply.
2. We figure out what’s going on.
During that call, we ask detailed questions to understand your problem: what’s happening, how long it’s been going on and anything else that helps us get a clear picture. We want to make sure the time spent is beneficial for our clients and our plumbing team. Having the right person with the right talent in the right situation means everyone is happy and the job gets done right.
3. We do our best to book the appointment around you.
Once we understand the issue, we schedule your appointment with the technician best suited to the job, on a day and time that works for your schedule and our availability. We know plumbing problems and the corresponding solutions arise at some inconvenient moments. So, we do our best to find a time that fits your life.
4. We give you a heads-up before we arrive.
Having to sit around all day wondering when the technician will show up is irritating. Each appointment is scheduled for an arrival window. A window that we take very seriously and do our best to meet. When we’re getting ready to head your way, we can call or send a text message whichever you choose. More often than not, we do them both.
5. We assess the problem on arrival.
Once our technician arrives, s/he communicates the notes from the call and booking to ensure everyone is on the same page. A close look at the issue and upon review a clear recommendation for a solution is presented. Perhaps a few options, with corresponding pricing and warranties, are given so you can make an informed decision about your home and your budget.
6. We aim for same day repairs.
Whenever possible, we complete the repair the same day we arrive. With support personnel and supply house relationships most materials are available within a few minutes. We know having a plumbing issue can be disruptive, so getting it fixed ASAP is our goal.
7. If we spill over onto another day, you become a scheduling priority.
Sometimes repairs require a part, extra time, or additional coordination that comes with special circumstances. When that’s the case, our plumber calls the office right away to schedule a return visit at a time that works for you. This way the one who started the job is responsible for completing it and there’s guessing about next steps.
8. Why it matters.
This process is more than a common checklist. It’s how we make sure every customer feels informed and taken care of from the first correspondence to the final fix. Whether it’s Jennifer, Devyn or Brandii answering your call, or one of our plumbers at your door, you can count on clear communication and a plan that respects your time.
